JCRC-NY works on issues and projects with its member agencies and other Jewish organizations to strengthen the NY Jewish community.  JCRC-NY is a resource center for area organizations seeking information, referrals and assistance.

Its mission is to promote the welfare of the diverse Jewish community.  It promotes programs which increase the level of communication, information and interaction and inclusiveness among the Jewish mini-communities in the metropolitan area.  It works with and seeks to strengthen local communal organizations and, thereby, strengthen the whole Jewish community.  JCRC-NY helps establish programs to regenerate Jewish life; encourage Jewish immigrants to take active roles in the community; and protect recent emigres and other vulnerable Jews.
