JCRC-NY  – In the vanguard of preventing spiritual deception since 1978.

We provide information and assistance to Jewish communities grappling with the threat of “Hebrew-Christian” missionaries and destructive groups/cults.  Spiritual Deception Matters (SDM), originally the Task Force on Missionaries & Cults, works closely with federations and religious, communal and counter-missionary organizations to educate the Jewish community about such groups. SDM has brought together the entire spectrum of the Jewish community (Conservative, Orthodox, Reconstructionist, Reform) to denounce Hebrew-Christianity and to promote common Jewish values.

SDM’s Staff has Knowledge and Experience:

• Marcia Eisenberg, JCRC-NY’s General Counsel, and adviser to Jewish communities about Hebrew-Christian missionaries since 1986.
• Dr. Michael Nemirovsky, a 1997 emigre from Perm, is the Director of Russian-Speaking OutReach. He works to integrate Russian-Jewish immigrants into the NY Jewish community and bring SDM’s message to the Russian community.
