JCRC-NY Welcomes New Board Members

The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York elected several new members to its Board of Directors during their Annual Meeting, which also featured a keynote address by Hon. Adrienne E. Adams, Speaker of the New York City Council. 

The seven new members include Judge Rachel Freier, Stuart Finkelstein, Ezra Freidlander, Jessica Haller, Gustave Lipman, Jason Mack, and Mendy Mirocznik. 

“JCRC-NY has a commitment to being a space for unifying Jewish voices as well as building community and relationships across the spectrum of Jewish identity and the broader New York community” said Ben Golub, President-Elect of JCRC-NY.

Rachel Freier

Rachel Freier is a judge for the Kings County 5th judicial district Civil Court in New York, making her the first Hasidic Jewish woman to be both elected as a civil court judge in New York State and to serve in public office in United States history. Outside of her political career, she is the founder of several organizations including: Chasdei Devorah, Inc., a non-profit charity organization to help poor Jewish families, B’Derech, a GED program for Haredi youth at-risk, and Ezras Nashim, an all-female Orthodox Jewish volunteer EMT ambulance service. She is married to David Freier, with whom she has three sons and three daughters, and they currently reside in Borough Park.

Ezra Friedlander

Ezra Friedlander is the CEO of The Friedlander Group, a public affairs company based in NYC and Washington D.C. Prior to founding The Friedlander Group, Ezra served on the staffs of New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind and former New York Public Advocate Mark Green, establishing a network of personal and professional contacts in the political, commercial, and non-profit sectors.

Jessica Haller

Jessica Haller is a tech entrepreneur and environmentalist and is the Executive Director at 21 in ’21, a grassroots non-profit organization that works to put women in positions of political power. Jessica and her husband, Chad, co-founded The Kehilah of Riverdale in 2014. Jessica resides in Riverdale, NY with her husband and children Leila, Avery, Chloe, and Mattie. 

Gustave Lipman

Gustave K. Lipman is Chairman of Circadian Risk, a firm that works to assess and improve physical security for enterprise companies. In addition, Gustave serves as Senior Advisor to the CEO of Voyager Labs, the leading provider of artificial intelligence solutions to the security, investigative and intelligence communities. Gustave is a dedicated and involved member of the community most notably serving on the board of The Jewish Museum in New York.

Mendy Mirocznik

Mendy is the president of the Council of Jewish Organizations (C.O.J.O.) of Staten Island, a borough-wide civic organization dedicated to providing services to those less fortunate. Mendy serves as a board member of the Jewish Community Center of Staten Island (JCC), and is a member of the Young Israel of Staten Island. Mendy resides in Staten Island with his wife, Irit Susman-Mirocznik, and children Ariel, Judah, Leora, Sarah Leah, and Levi Isaac.

Stuart Finkelstein

Stuart Finkelstein is currently the Executive Vice President, Advisors at Mastercard North America. He and his wife, Jaimie, are the proud parents of Matthew and live in Englewood, NJ.

Stuart earned an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Albany, a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Management from New York University and has completed the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business General Management Program.

Jason Mack 

Jason Mack is the CEO of SJ Productions and Jmack Management. Prior to being in the music business Jason worked for DAX real estate and Ripco real estate. Jason is on the board of Generation SOS and chairs the National Youth Advisory Board. He is also on the Gala Committee for Caron, a non-profit that operates inpatient and outpatient treatment centers for people who are struggling with substance abuse. Jason is also the co chair of the Associate board for Covenant House NY.
