Interfaith United – NYC

Since Fall 2020, Interfaith United – NYC has convened interfaith and faith-based initiatives to share and strengthen their mission, areas of focus, and efforts to serve their community, now and in the future.

As common areas of interest and concern arise, affinity groups are formed to allow for best practice sharing and strategizing to happen between subject matter experts and leaders within faith communities. The first affinity group that has formed is Food Justice, which is co-chaired with JCRC-NY by Hunger Free America. To date, this affinity group has led webinars with field leaders in the food justice space in both Queens and Brooklyn, as well as launched a training for faith-based leaders to gain awareness of who in their communities may qualify for government benefits and to help them to navigate the system.
